Reapply the sunscreen every two hours, or immediately after swimming or sweating. Regardless of what the manufacturers purport, there is no such thing as “waterproof” sunscreen.
- Try to stay in the shade
Being in the shade is the best way to shield your baby from the ultra violet rays. If you can’t find shade, create some by bringing an umbrella, a canopy, or the hood of your stroller. If your baby become fussy or begins crying excessively, check for redness on any exposed skin and take him or her indoors immediately
- Think protection before style
Always dress your children in sun-protective clothing. Items can be lightweight, but we recommend long-sleeved shirts and pants. - Stay hydrated
