About Your Provider
Elise Kidder, MHS, PA-C, is an NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant at Metrolina Dermatology in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a clinical focus on skin cancer treatment and complex medical and surgical dermatology. She provides comprehensive care for a broad range of acute and chronic skin conditions, including hidradenitis suppurativa, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, seborrheic dermatitis, and keloids, along with skin cancer screening and prevention and hair loss evaluation. Her procedural experience includes skin biopsies, surgical excisions, cryotherapy, shave removals, electrodesiccation and curettage, skin cultures, and skin injections.
Elise earned her Master of Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2022, graduating with Honors with Distinction, and became a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates in 2023. A proud "Double Tar Heel," she completed both her undergraduate and physician assistant education at UNC-Chapel Hill and is originally from nearby Davidson, North Carolina.
Elise's interest in medicine began at age five, when she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. That early experience as a patient shaped her appreciation for strong, trusting provider-patient relationships and eventually led her to dermatology, a specialty she loves for its blend of medical care, hands-on procedures, and long-term patient relationships, as well as the visible, meaningful impact it can have on a person's confidence and quality of life. She is deeply committed to education and mentorship, having guided numerous aspiring physician assistants through dermatology preceptorships and helped introduce future PAs to the field.
Outside of the clinic, Elise enjoys spending time with family and friends, and with her golden retrievers.
